Dell has finally offered an all-in-one innovative solution for touch mobile computing. The company’s new tablet PC named XT2 is the industry’s first mobile computing device supporting natural gestures for navigation. You can now pinch or tap the screen for scrolling through large web pages, zooming images in and out, enlarging e-mails, rotate the photos, change the screen orientation and much more. Asus N80Vc: More Power for More Entertainment

The ASUSTeK Computer company has unveiled its new sub-notebook named N80Vc. This one has got great display capabilities, impressive processing speed and awesome sound quality. Asus is known for its Eee PC range of sub-notebooks because of the performance they offer. The N80Vc takes the portable computing to the next higher level and is aimed at those who don’t want to compromise with performance for style.

The Asus has installed an Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 processor plus a 3GB RAM in the device to enable high speed multi-tasking, glitch free gaming and smooth video transitions. You can watch high definition movies in full 1080p on its large 14 inch widescreen. The company has also packed an Nvidia Geforce 9300M GS graphics card with 512MB dedicated VRAM that makes it easier to enjoy DirectX 10 games on the go. Storage option too is impressive. The N80Vc sports a 320GB hard disk drive and there are variety of connectivity options including USB, WiFi and more.

Unfortunately, this device also suffers from some downsides. Because of its 14 inch widescreen display it becomes hefty and dimensionally big. The Asus N80VC’s screen is also reflective. So, you just can’t use it under direct sunlight or at any other place that is lit with loads of lights.

Toshiba Launches Portege M750: The extra advanced Tablet PC

The Toshiba Portege M750 is the latest successor in the company’s Portege product line. This one has been optimised for those who want to shift between a traditional keyboard based netbook and touch screen enabled tablet on the go. It features a 12.1 inch dual input display that can instantly detect both the stylus as well as finger touch. This gives the user full freedom while navigating through the system.

Portege M750 is build around the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor and packs 2GB DDR2 RAM and GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics. There is no dedicated graphics card. So if you are a pro gamer then the Portege M750 is of no use but if you want to work more efficiently and enhance the productivity then this machine is the mighty one. For storage and digital entertainment the Toshiba has incorporated a 160GB hard disk drive and a DVD burner. The built in graphics chip may not ensure high definition gaming but it can surely render crystal clear videos at high resolution. Classmate 2 is entirely ready for School Children

The Classmate PC was Intel’s stupendous piece representing innovation, performance and great functionality. Now the company has unveiled the revamped version of the Classmate called the Classmate 2, which is a convertible laptop featuring a swivel display that can be rotated and fully folded on the keyboard to transform it into a touch screen device. The Classmate 2 is targeted at school children across the globe. The company believes that offering a touch screen enabled convertible PC can improve the learning process and overall education system.

The system can run on both Windows and Linux operating system and is being developed by various brands in different countries. It’s being produced by CTL and some others in USA, by NEC in France, ASI in Australia, Hanvon in China and by the CMS in UK. Just like most netbooks, including the popular Acer Aspire Aspire One 150L and Asus Eee PC product line, the Classmate 2 is also based on Intel’s much vaunted Atom chipset.

Intel’s European vice-president, Gordon Graylish says, “We now have over 40 companies developing the original Classmate, nine companies have started building the convertible, and there are 30 companies in 40 countries developing software as part of the Intel Learning Series Alliance. It’s not about the device, it’s about supporting the local language, the local culture, and local manufacturers who understand how the education system works. It’s about getting the right software environment, and making sure teachers are trained. The last thing we want is computers sitting in closets.”

CES 2009 Overview: A Look at the Highlights

CES or the Consumer Electronics Show is one of the most popular trade shows held in Las Vegas. This year, the show was held between January 8th and 11th. Prominent companies feature all their latest products here. Reporters from all over cover this show which features the latest technological advancements in every electronic product segment. Thousands of products set for release are previewed for the benefit of the public.

The CES 2009 was no exception. A wide range of products were featured by a host of companies from all over the world. One significant aspect this year was the fall in the attendance strength as compared to previous years. However, the convention center in Las Vegas and the other venues such as suites, hotels, etc were filled with the latest unique and cool products.

One of the prominent and interesting booths was Intel’s, which featured a whole lot of demos such as MIDs, netbooks based on Atom, Centrino 2 notebooks, WiMax, Core i7 gaming, etc. The eyecatcher here was certainly the Atom Processor powered Classmate PC netbook from Intel, which can easily rival established models, like the Asus Eee PC 904 HD, with its many impressive performance features. With its rotating screen, the Intel Classmate PC even doubles up as a tablet PC. Deep Viewer is one of their new applications which were also demonstrated here.

NVidia displayed various items in their booth which had other partners too. Items on display here include the 3D glasses, GeForce graphics cards and the Ion SFF platform. An interesting upcoming product featured here is the BFG Phobos system. Phobos systems are Intel processors powered and priced at $3000m $5000 and $ 8000 based on the service level and configuration options.

Apart from these, other prominent products displayed here include LG’s OLED TVs and LED TVS. Wireless charging was showcased by companies like Fulton Innovation. One of the most popular advanced features which created a flutter is the Internet connectivity for televisions. Yahoo was the leader here giving out details of their plans to tie up with companies like Vizio, Toshiba, LG, Sony, Samsung, etc.
