It’s a wireless internet photo frame that allows the users to digital photos residing in their PC or stored on photo sharing portals such as Flickr, Picasa and the social networking site Facebook. This wireless frame also supports Internet content streaming directly. You can gain access to news, weather, sports, trivia and Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds, without connecting the device with PC.
The DSM-210 is a part of D-Link’s Green Product line. It features power saving motion detection technology that offers unprecedented UI. In addition to its WiFi capabilities, these features definitely set the D-Link photo frame far apart from other digital photo frames like the Sony DPF-V700. Furthermore, the device turns ON automatically as soon as somebody enters the room and Switch OFF itself when everybody leaves the room. D-Link has partnered with FrameChannel to offer easy access to a library of content to include in the photo frame. Users can combine their own photo collection with over 400 channels of dynamic content offered by the FrameChannel library. So, the DSM-210 is much more than a digital photo frame.
Maurice Famularo, Marketing Director for D-Link said, “Bringing this easy-to-use Wi-Fi and Internet-enabled photo frame to market is an important extension of our digital home strategy where the home network serves as a powerful platform to connect together a variety of devices beyond just PCs. It was also important that we provide our customers the added benefit of using the frame to access content that interests them such as the latest news, weather and sports scores without the need to turn on the PC.”
