We often take pictures of friends and family, only to discover that someone in the picture has blinked their eyes during the shoot. Technology has advanced to an extent that now you can avail of select cameras that are equipped with an advanced technology called ‘blink detection‘. In cameras with blink detection technology, if anyone of the subjects or even if the single subject as much as blinks or close their eyes when the shooting is in progress, an icon appears on the screen instantly giving out a warning signal. The photographer is alerted immediately and he or she can instruct the subject to refrain from blinking.

Canon has released its latest line up of digital cameras for 2009 with the DIGIC 4 Image Chip that allows users to shoot images of higher quality. The Power shot digital cameras are point and shoot cameras that are available in a variety of prices to suit the budget of both beginners and advanced users. Canon plans to roll out ten brand new camera models between the months of March and May 2009, which come equipped with the advanced signal processing speed and better image quality.

Some of the new camera models will feature automated adjustments and numerous applications including hue and brightness for various light settings. Advanced users and professionals can check out the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS and SX200 IS, which comes with a zoom lens that is wide angle and 20x and 12x. With the help of this, users can take 1080p videos and 720 high definition resolutions capacity. The Canon D10 is an all round shockproof and waterproof camera.
